What is Calvary Chapel Newberg's worship style like?
Our worship style is simple, and authentic. We bypass distracting lights and noise, and focus on joining in one voice before our Lord in song. Rather than an overpowering band, our worship features just a few instruments and voices. People often remark how refreshing it is to hear the congregation’s voices above the band. This doesn’t mean our musicians are second rate—it simply means their goal is to draw people to Jesus, rather than to their musical talent.
What is Calvary Newberg's teaching style like?
At Calvary Newberg we like to say “We teach the Bible, not merely from the Bible!” Instead of presenting topical messages, we study verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter through the whole Bible. We believe that this approach offers unparalleled depth, insight, and practical application into the topics and subjects the Bible itself brings out. Once you’ve experienced verse-by-verse teaching, you’ll never go back.
What do I do with my kids?
Our Kids Ministry Center is in the Northwest Fresh Seafood Market building. Families enter our Children’s Ministry Center through the downstairs (Nursery) entrance.
Birth - 3 Years Old – The Nursery (Downstairs). Please check in Nursery kids before service begins.

Older children will join their parents for worship in the Sanctuary, and then be excused to go to their classes in the Children’s Ministry Center before the adult message.Middle School - High School – Join Parents in Sanctuary. Middle school and high school students learn alongside their parents in the main service.
What is Calvary Newberg's mission statement?
It is our fervent desire to possess what the bible refers to as the mind of Christ. Simply stated, our aim is to learn to think like Jesus. How that is expressed in our lives is to live in community as people who love God, love others, proclaim the Gospel, and make disciples. In humility to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by equipping the church for the work of the ministry - unleashing people to use their lives for the glory of God.
